Silk and Cotton Moroccan Kilim
This is a beautifully made kilim with a mixture of fine cotton and silk. The colours are light and very well blended in a palette one does not see very often. Note the elegant design composed of simple, yet eye-catching horizontal rows of geometric ornaments framed by complementary borders. It is all very easy on the eye. The weaver has used very sophisticated warp-sharing techniques to create a very stable texture with no splits between the wefts. Clean and in excellent condition, this is a very decorative piece which would fit in very well into many types of settings.
